From Javen’s room to a Nursery

August 24th, 2008

We’ve been working hard to prepare for the arrival of little Joey, and a couple of weeks ago I got the chance to begin the process of converting Javen’s old room into a nursery.  It was a bit sad to paint over the awesome mural created by Matt Lawrence, but alas, it didn’t really fit into the nursery feel.  Now the room is a nice, bright yellow, and is getting closer to being ready for our newest family member!  The biggest bonus?  Underneath the old, worn and stained carpet were beautiful hardwood floors!  There’s furniture and other stuff in there already, and as soon as I make the effort, I’ll post some pictures.  Until then, you can check out the dramatic before and after from simply painting the walls.

I hope the children will both be happy with their new rooms. I know Javen thinks he is all grown up with the whole basement belonging to him.
